The Mackinaw Police Department continuously accepts applications for part-time police officers. The positions are filled on an as needed basis. Requirements:

-21 years of age or older

-High School Diploma or G.E.D

-Minimum State of Illinois Part-Time Law Enforcement Certification

-No Felony convictions or criminal history indicating moral turpitude

-Availability to work a minimum of 2 shifts per month, typically nights and weekends

-Ability to pass in-depth criminal, personal, and financial background investigation as well as a physical and drug screen

Pay and Benefits:

-$16.00/hour starting pay, with an increase to $16.50 after probationary period

-1.5x Hourly Rate when working holidays

-Paid Uniforms
